For Clastic Petrography (all thin sections stained for K-feldspar and carbonate minerals; Touchstone 7 simulation model inputs for reservoir quality prediction negotiable upon request)
Basic Thin Section Analysis: includes 300/sample point count for grain size and modal analysis
Intermediate Thin Section Analysis: includes 300/sample point count for grain size, modal analysis, and digital annotated photomicrographs (2 per sample)
Comprehensive Thin Section Analysis: includes 300/sample point count for grain size, modal analysis, digital annotated photomicrographs (2 per sample), and interpretive report
Thin Section Grain Size Analysis: includes 100 measurements/sample
Thin Section Grain Coat Analysis: includes 50 grain measurements by visual and image processing methods
Macropore Morphometrics: i.e. length, width, area, perimeter, and distributions of these properties by image analysis
For Carbonate and Unconventional Petrography (all thin sections stained for carbonate minerals)
Basic Thin Section Analysis: includes assessment of lithology and digital annotated photomicrographs (2 per sample)
Comprehensive Thin Section Analysis: includes assessment of lithology, sedimentary features, vein mineralization, biotic and organic components, visible pore structures, matrix components such as clays and secondary cementation, digital annotated photomicrographs (5 per sample), and interpretive report
For Igneous and Metamorphic Petrography
Comprehensive Thin Section Analysis: includes assessment of rock type, texture, minerology, digital annotated photos (5 per sample both in plane-polarized and cross-polarized light), and interpretive report.
